Aruba first participated in the Pan Am Games in 1987 in Indianapolis.

At Guadalajara 2011, Aruba competed with 17 athletes in five sports: bowling, BMX cycling, swimming, synchronized swimming and taekwondo.

Aruba has yet to win a medal at a Pan Am Games heading into TORONTO 2015, and is expected to compete in eight sports including athletics, beach volleyball, sailing and weightlifting.
