Barbados will be seeking its first Parapan Am Games medal at TORONTO 2015.
The Caribbean country previously competed at Rio de Janeiro 2007, where swimmer David Taylor finished fourth in the men’s 100 m breaststroke.
Barbados competed in its first Pan Am Games at São Paulo 1963.
The Caribbean country has won 12 medals at the Games – three silver and nine bronze. The country’s best medal effort came during its very first appearance at the Pan Am Games in São Paulo 1963 with three bronze medals.
At Guadalajara 2011, Barbados won two bronze medals – Shakera Reece in the women’s 100 m and Emmanuel Anderson in boxing.
