Toronto is ranked fourth for “cultural experience” in Foreign Policy magazine’s Global Cities Index and is both the third-largest theatre centre in the world and the home to the iconic Toronto International Film Festival as well as numerous other cultural festivals. The streets of Toronto come alive in the summer months with some of the countries best street festivals celebrating, art, music, food and performance.

  • The Caribana Festival, an explosion of Caribbean music, cuisine and arts, is now in its 42nd year and attracts 1.3 million people annually.
  • The Luminato Festival of Arts and Creativity is an international arts festival, attracting more than one million people in its inaugural year.
  • The Salsa on St. Clair festival attracts more than 250,000 people to a free family street party celebrating Toronto’s Latin cultures.
  • The Royal Ontario Museum, one of the world’s top museums and the Art Gallery of Ontario, one of the largests art museums in North America are newly and spectacularly renovated.
