Canada's Chudoba wins women's trap shooting gold at Pan American Games

INNISFIL, Ont. — Amanda Chudoba won the gold medal in women's trap shooting Monday at the Pan American Games.

Chudoba, from Spruce Grove, Alta., won the gold in a shoot-off after finishing the championship round tied at 11 with American Kayle Browning.

Browning hit her last nine targets to force the shoot-off, but Chudoba hit both of her extra targets while Browning missed her second one.

It was Canada's second shooting gold of the Games. Calgary's Lynda Kiejko won the women's 10-metre air pistol on Sunday.

Kimberley Bowers of the U.S. beat Ana Latorre of Puerto Rico in shoot-off to claim bronze.
