Men's team - Canada (Crispin Duenas, Jay Lyon and Patrick Rivest-Bunster) lost 6-0 in the quarter-finals to Brazil.

Women's team - Canada (Kateri Vrakking, Georcy Thiffeault Picard, Virginie Chenier) lost 5-1 in the quarter-finals to Columbia.

GYMNASTICS (RHYTHMIC)

Women's individual all-around final and qualifications rotation one - Carmen Whelan finished fifth with a total score of 29.608. Patricia Bezzoubenko finished sixth with a total score of 29.383.

Women's individual all-around final and qualifications rotation two - Whelan finished fifth with a total score of 29.608. Bezzoubenko finished sixth with a total score of 29.383.

Women's group all-around final and qualifications rotation one - Canada (Katrina Cameron, Maya Kojevnikov, Lucinda Nowell, Vanessa Panov, Anjelika and Victoria Reznik) finished fifth with a total score of 10.117.

HANDBALL

Canada lost its Preliminary round Group A match 34-17 to Brazil. Mark A. Walder led the way for Canada with five goals on 12 shots.

SHOOTING

Men's 50 pistol qualification - Mark Patrick Hynes finished 12th with a result of 532-04x, but did not advance to the final.
