World Premiere

(July 10 - August 15) Join us in honouring one of the world’s most celebrated athletes. At the 1907 Boston Marathon, Tom Longboat gained international recognition for his stunning victory, as a long distance runner, smashing the previous record by more than five minutes. Born near Brantford, Ontario, Longboat is an inspiration to both Aboriginal and Canadian people, and this sculpture pays tribute to his legacy as a Canadian sport icon. Produced by Six Nations of the Grand River.
