Paraguay has competed at each Pan Am Games with the exception of Chicago 1959 and São Paulo 1963.
Paraguay’s first medal – a bronze in men’s football – came at Indianapolis 1987.
The South American country has won one silver and six bronze medals, placing thirty-third on the all-time Games medals list. Coming into TORONTO 2015, Paraguay has yet to win a gold medal.
At Guadalajara 2011, Paraguay won bronze medals in two events thanks to Esteban Casarino and Carlos Caballero in men’s doubles squash and Benjamin Hockin in men’s 200 m freestyle swimming.
